Thermal paste and liquid metal for RF amplifiers

Description

New high power RF transistors pack an amazing amount of power into very small footprint. This requires very good thermal transfer to the heatsink. Best possible cooling for RF power transistors and PCB laminate in planar design pallets are critical for long life and best electrical performance for RF Power amplifiers. The best possible cooling is obtained by soldering the transistor directly to the copper base. Unfortunately this is not so easy and such transistors are hard to replace. They can even be damaged by over-heating in this way. Most companies use thermal paste of some kind. It works but it is not ideal. We now have a solution that is just as good but does not require soldering. Our liquid metal ensures equally good results as soldering and transistors can be removed at any time.

We are providing you all solutions, thermal transfer paste, liquid metal and also special thermal transfer pads for RF power transistors (put them between heatsink and transistors).

ASMX thermal paste
The thermal paste is the simplest solution and also the one most often used for RF power transistors. Do not apply a thick layer, keep it thin and even.

Liquid metal for RF transistors with cleaning set, ultra edition
This is actual liquid metal that ensures fantastic heat transfer. Liquid metal is not toxic (it is not quick silver), but does react/corrode with aluminum so this solution can only be used with copper substrate! DO NOT use with aluminum as these two do not like each-other.

Metal pads for RF transistors with cleaning set
Special soft metal pads with low melting temperature that are placed between substrate and transistor.  Superior thermal conductivity with easy application which consists of 100% from a high thermal conductivity alloy and is absolutely non-toxic. At power-up as transistor warms up the metal might melt to fill the space between the substrate and transistor optimally – there remains no solid residues – it is also suitable for application to aluminum surfaces and other metals
