fm transmitter

Post by dick »

I would like know what kind of transmitter could be placed in a vehicle
that could be heard from a radio in another vehicle when nearby or approaching, thus alerting someone to someones presence.

thanks

If the receiver ISN'T tuned to the same frequency as the
transmitter this isn't doable.

If you live in the States, just go to Costco and get a pair of FRS handi-talkies. That way you can have two-way conversations between the cars.

Exactly. FM broadcast band is not suitable for two-way speech
communications. Very inefficient.

If you want to key into the radio program in the other people's car you can't do it unless you know what frequency they are tuned into.
