SAM2 & PCI Max 2004

Post by Spitfire »

I have the latest SAM2, but I noticed their program when used says PCI Max Ultra, and not 2004. Could this be the reason why it doesn't work with my set-up? I have to use the PCI Max RDS program to broadcast & can't use the SAM2 plugin.

Any suggestions on anyone using SAM2 and the new PCI Max 2004?

SAm2 has not been updated for PCI MAX 2004 yet,
but it is planned for near future.

Please put me on your notification list when this is out. This is the main reason I purchased SAM2 and the PCI Max. For me, its alot of money to spend and find out they don't work together.

The interface in SAM2 only allows you to change frequency.

Its easy to setup SAM2 to provide all the audio functionality
and simply change frequency with our provided driver.

So you can still use them both.

Has anyone complained about their station not streaming after installing the new PCI Max 2004? I never noticed it until I got to work this morning, but our station keeps buffering. I am using SAM2 and your PCI Max RDS program. Its a odd kind of buffering. You connect fast, and it plays well, then it just stops. I hit the play button and it plays again the just randomly stops.

Once I get home this evening, I will run a bandwidth test & maybe get ready to reformat the HD and do a fresh install of XP Pro. But just incase, I thought I would ask here.

There is absolutely no connection between streaming and PCI MAX,
PCI MAX does nothing to audio drivers as it uses the sound card
of the PC (note jumper cable).

The driver is just a small utility which sends the code to the card
to set the frequency. And than it just sits there doing absolutely nothing.

There's something else that's causing this.

Thanks for your quick replies. The more the day goes on, the longer I can stay connected to my stream. This must of been just a bandwidth problem!

BTW, I love my new PCI Max 2004!! I would recommend it to everyone!

Ok, now back to SAM2 & the PCI Max 2004. Once they get the software integrated again. Will the PCI Max 2004 pick-up window sounds and other sounds besides the music SAM2 is streaming? As of now, using SAM2 and the RDS software it picks up and broadcasts other window sounds along with the streaming MP3 files SAM2 is playing.

Whatever is picked up by sound card is heard on PCI MAX 2004.
