Post Problem with Cyber Max FM Reply with quote
Hi everyone,

I ordered the new Cyber Max FM 10/15 transmitter and recieved it today but it has a problem. It will power up to full power, but I cannot get ANY audio out, and the stereo pilot may not be working. All the lights light up except the swr protection light. Switching positions on the stereo encoder switch on the front does nothing; adjusting the audio input on the transmitter board also does nothing. I also tried going through the test settings but found only two menu items that have nothing to do with the operation(I think). Is there a manual for this unit on the website? I could not find it here. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Hi!

Open the lid and check the audio cable going from exciter unit
(the one with LCD) to the stereo encoder (where the audio
connectors are). This cable is probably a bit loose due to transport,
check it out (could be a short).

Contact us via Email, if needed. Should take 5 seconds to fix.

Hi Marko,

I opened up the top and took the glue off the connections and wiggled them around a little bit. Also used an ohm meter to make sure there was a good solid connection. I hooked it up and whaddya know, it works! Thank you for the advice. I thought it may have something do do with either the stereo encoder or the connection from that to the exciter.

THANKS!!

Apparently this happened due to transport vibrations.

Anyway, I'm happy all is well now. Have fun with the transmitter!
