Hello people (for the one that know me, yes I'm back ),

I am releasing RDS MAX I v2.0 for PCS Electronics,
because Marko doesn't have time for it at the moment.

It's the first release after my rebuild on my program,
so if you have any suggestions and/or improvements,
please mail me at karlo.vlah@bart.nl

Version 2.1 will have some nice unique things in it,
but that's a supprise for all of you.

You can download v2.0 at http://users.bart.nl/~vlako/rdsmax208setup.exe (1.2mb)

Note that there is no help available yet,
though I'm working on it, I just didn't have the time for it yet.

The auto artist/title updater for winamp works a little bit different now,
I made the program to read the artist/title from a regulair text file.
It has to be in the format ARTIST - TITLE otherwise it WONT work.
There is a plugin for winamp which can export this, here's the link:
http://users.bart.nl/~vlako/titlespy.zip

The plus of the text file above direct getting that info out of winamp,
is that you can now also use other programs to output what they are current playing.
This option works also with Jazler, a very populair Radio Automation program.

Again, questions and/or improvements can be sent to my email, karlo.vlah@bart.nl
There could be some delay in my replies because I've got very much to do,
and I'm going on vacation next friday (10 OCT) for a week or so.

Regards,

Karlo Vlah

Heh, not really...

But I also didnt knew you were still alive too,
thought you ended up somewhere in jail or something

Anyway I'm back from being away,
hopefully I haven't missed too much

Is there some kind of mailinglist like we had in the past?

There is nothing new at V 2.0 only the new design. Where are the new improvements?

The new software i thought might have done 3 Radio texts, also when i choose the PTY OTHER M, it sometimes says SCIENCE, which can be annoying, just thought i would say this. other than that it does appear to work ok.

Further i see no difference to version 1. Why?

Does the RDS MSX use a different form of RDS carrier to that of commercial stations, i only ask this as recently i have tried the rds with a sharmans tuner that i have with rds on it, and it receives all other rds ok, but every few seconds the first and second letters dissapear and the 6th letter also dissapears, then comes back, not sure if it is just with this tuner as all others seem to work ok, just though i would mention it, and i notice the RDS software, tried both softwares the old and the new one both seem to do this on the display, all other radios do not have this trouble, so possibly it is just this radio, still would be good if there are any improvments on the new software that there are more than one RT line possibly, and not sure if this model can encode the time, or EON or anything like that, still be interested to hear how things progress i will keep checking here for any developemtns, or any answers to what i was asking above. Thankyou.
