What do you think of this schematic:
http://www.qsl.net/lu8eha/

It looks interesting but how will
the tranmitter work?

Dear R_QRP!

I like your site in general, but you're really pushy with promotion
and it would be really corteous from your side to at least provide
a link to us, when you're repeatedly posting yours in our forum,
in the newsgroups and elsewhere.

Don't you honestly think so?

We promote all things we like, even your interesting board
and your good products. You are right, of course and we will
absolutely sure put a link to http://www.pcs-electronics.com
on our site. You have a lot of pretty nice rigs but
not yet a Grenade transmitter.

It's very similar to one we used to use, but the synthesiser is much more complicated than it needs to be. You will notice that the supply rail to the modulator is substantially higher than the 13.8 Volts that everybody seems to want to use.

It's supposed to deliver 10 Watts (peak), but with minor modifications, it can give 10 Watts carrier and 40 Watts peak. There is little point in having "tone controls" before the modulator - you can do any necessary correction either at the studio or when you pre-record your programmes. The addition of a compressor / limiter and audio filtering to limit bandwidth would be useful, and you can make significant improvements to the mod quality by applying envelope feedback.

As shown on that webpage, you should be able to make it work, but you will find that you will want to improve it quite radically!
