MPX and frequency correction |
|
I'd like to feed an externally generated mpx signal into my PCI MAX 3000. Can someone please recommend the best point? Ideally I'd like the option of keeping the internal RDS encoder.
I notice my unit is about 3 Khz low in frequency. What is the recommended approach to allowing the frequency to be trimmed?
Thanks,
Max.

If you have PCIMAX3000 in front of you, look at the 9 pins for RDS daughter board.
The bottom 3 pins:
1. bottom pin, is MPXin
2. GND
3. 19KHz
You don't have to worry about 3 kHz, this is like parking a tanker and worrying about millimetres. The difference does not affect range nor is it audible or measurable at the receiver.
