System Error &H8007007E (-2147024770). |
|
Has anyone got the dreaded Error.
System Error &H8007007E (-2147024770). The specified module could not be found.
PCS sad it is a missing windows file problem. They also say that it runs under windows7 64bit without a problem on there side. I believe them, I have a machine working on my side. (Windows7 Home Premium)
I think this is a windows DLL fill missing problem or possibly other files. Please if anyone has the expertise to figure this out let us all know. I have tried installing on the following operating system without avail.
Machine #1 Windows7 Ultimate
Machine #2 Windows Vista
Machine #3 Windows XP
All Windows updates have been installed.
Strange note: one of my machines installed and executed the program without a hitch.
Machine #4 Windows 7 Home Premium
Thanks,
Brent

I added some procedure into code, which Microsoft recommends when this specific error occurs and I rebuilt the Setup. I hope the error will be gone.

This time the installation stopped at a HTML Help page. After closing down this screen the installation completed. Same Error message when you try and run the program. System Error &H8007007E (-2147024770). The specified module could not be found.
Please look into this when you get a chance.
For now I am using MicroMaxV43 for RDS and front panel to adjust power and DSP.
My Hardware MAXPRO 5015 exciter, CYBER MAX FM+ 300W, SE5000 DSP with daughter board RDS4000+ Micro.
Also note: All my computers now running (Windows 7 Professional 64bit). Software installed from retail package.
Thanks,
Brent

Hi there,
we tried a few different PCs here and it worked on all of them. But I believe a standard library might be missing that is shared by many programs and your PC may not have it.
Boris will try and fix this bug (I think he is doing a great job as our new software support guy), however he is going to be away for a week starting tomorrow so please be patient.

Hi Brent,
I have found a powerful debuging tool: http://www.dependencywalker.com/
It is not so easy to understand all the features but maybe you will find yourself familiar with them.
I suggest to run the program, File->Open, then navigate to CyberMax exe file. Look at reports. Then go to Profile->Start profiling->OK. Program starts under inspection of Walker. There may be some useful findings.

And of course let us know what the report says so that we can include the missing library.

The file location is OK. The file should be automatically registered to Windows system during installation. Maybe something failed.
Please try to register the file manually by using a command: regsvr32.exe msvbvm60.dll

regsvr32.exe msvbvm60.dll comes up with.
The module "msvbvm60.dll" may not compatible with the version of windows your running. Check if the module is compatible with an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of regsvr32.exe.
After that my options are to select (OK) to close the warning window.

In win7-64 it always pays to try to "run as administrator" or set compatibility mode for the program to XP. Right click the program icon to do this.
