When connecting my MaxPro 2000+ to my SE2000 stereo encoder the power of the output signal Is reduced dramatically!
Pre-emphasis is set to none on the tx and 50 on the encoder
It's connected via the max link cable
The tx is powered by 12v 4a psu
Have also tried powering the encoder and the tx individually
When not using the encoder the power output is fine
Any help welcome!
Reduce rf output when connecting stereo encoder

There can be two possible causes:
1. Your power supply may be very close to the point of overload and the added consumption of stereo encoder brings it down to its knees. It is also possible that your mains power supply is not RF blocked, meaning RF affects its operation and reduces the output voltage. Rearanging wires in such a system can already affect output power. Try with another power supply.
2. The audio sensitivity trimmer is set way too high. Set it to zero just for a test. Question: do you get normal audio out of your setup?
It would help if you send us a photo of your setup to examine.

That's a good one.
You probably heard a very loud buzz on your radio.
