Dear all,
I leave in a city which is located next to a mountain. On top of that mountain stays an antenna which is broadcasting the licensed stations. ERP (effective radiated power) is indicated as 1 kW.
Now my idea is to place a transmitter in the heart of the city and to broadcast on one of the occupied frequencies.
What will people which are tuned to this frequency hear? Me, the licensed station, only noise or a little bit of everything?
Any other thoughts, hints?
Thanks...
Broadcasting on occupied frequencies

Very bad idea and also illegal.

In spots where your signal is stronger your music will be heard, but since they are on the hill it will be difficult to overpower their signal.
It takes lots of power and results are so-so.
I advice against it.

I have access to the roof of a 40 story building which is located in the heart of the city. Most other buildings in my city have less than 10 floors. So my spot is pretty good.
So what happens if two stations send with very similar powers? Lets say I send with an ERP of 1.01 kW while they send with 1.00 kW.
Will both stations be heard or only the one which is slightly stronger?

The one with more power at the receiver will be heart.
