help for a beginner trying to setup new station

Post by edwinvanegas »

Hi. I am trying to setup a radio station using the CYBER MAX FM 300W.
This is what I have
1- PC with sound blaster audigy x24 running a legal copy of Sambc 4.7
2- A antenna (good quality, it was used at 107.9 )
3- heliax 1/2 inch super flex cables with n-type connectors.

I want a simple setup, something i can just plug the audio of my PC, That is why i am looking to buy a CYBER MAX FM 300W.

My question is. does the CYBER MAX FM 300W need anything else to operate?
I don't want to buy it and then find out it needs something else.

and the last thing is. How can i get a discount? might be a banner exchange for my website or something.

Thanks.
Edwin

From the description I think you have pretty much everything essential to start transmitting.

However I do recommend a SWR meter to check your antenna before you start.
This kit includes SWR meter and various adapters that are often neeeded:

I also recommend this mic, it can be connected to USB of your PC and it has been very
popular as it performs really great, a good mic really makes a difference:

You can always get a small 1% rebate by using our online system to
generate order, please enter this code into rebate/voucher field (you
will see this field during the checkout process):

This is to encourage people to place orders online rather than email us
and ask for proformas.

Hi,

since you are based in the US we passed the order to our US distributer.

You haven't received the email with tracking info since the order hasn't shipped yet.

Lead time for these transmitters is 1-2 weeks. Also this week there are only 2 working
days due to national holidays. You should expect this item to ship sometime next week.

By the way you can also email us directly, these things are hardly interesting to the general
public. Better yet contact our distributer directly.
Best regards,
