Hi
Please help - I have downloaded the drivers for the RDSMax4000 and it keeps telling me that the selected COM1 port does not exist.
Frustrating or what!!!!!!!!!!!
Can anyone help me with this problem please................

Are you using USB? Set it to com5.

Did you install the com port driver? When you plug the USB cable in it probably
asks you for driver?

You can download driver here:
http://www.pcs-electronics.com/software/archive_usb2comport_driver.zip

I agree that this was too hard to find, need to update the manual definitely.

Yes I did download everything and when I conencted the RDS to my computer it notified me that everything had been installed correctly and is working but for some reason I cannot get the Com port to function - any ideas...........other than starting again because I have already done that.

Did you look at the settings for that com port driver? It lets you specify
com port that is ported from USB.

Its under control panel -> System - > Hardware -> Device Manager

At this point you should be able to identify it in the tree and right click
on it to bring up settings, see what port it uses.

USB cable must be plugged in to pc and rds for this to work.
