150W FM Amp 88-108MHz

Post by RC2 »

Hello!
I´m interested in a 150W amplifier for my 15W FM transmitter.
http://www.pcs-electronics.com/150w-amp ... p-269.html

The real power of my Transmitter is 13-14W more and less.

It´s the 10dB attenuator (10W-1W) valid for my transmitter and used for this 150W amplifier?

Or can you adapt the attenuator for the 15W power input?

Thanks from Spain!!

The attenuator will be fine as the 150W amplifier requires a little bit more than 1W
for full power output.

Thanks.
I bought the amplifier and the attenuator yesterday. I indicated in annotations of the order the power of my transmitter for more information.
One question more only:

How many time more or less the order will be on the way?

About my 15W transmitter:
With my Sirio Antenne (P/N 2101501.00 GPA 66-108. And Coaxial cable RG-213) I can recieved the signal 25 km away from my home. Light signal but I can listen between noise to this distance. The signal is perfect even until 10Km.
I live in a small town of 5000 inhabitants in a plain without mountains. My antenna is placed in the highest neighborhood of the city.
I will report you with this 150W AMP ...

Thank you very much!!

It will be on the way soon :)

You have very nice range indeed for 15W of power.

You can now expect an increase of 2-3x compared to current range.

Thanks for your quick answer.

Some advice to measure the power with a fictitious load?

I now have a fictitious load of 50 oh with resistances and is valid for 15W.
But for 150W?
But this 150W AMP doesn´t need adjustment, right?

This is my power meter:

And other question:
I need a small (1 m more and less) cable easy to handle from the transmitter to amplifier. And other 1.5 m. to the amplifier to my surge protector (Alpha Delta AD-ATT3G50U/HP 30MHz to 500MHz (2kW).
What about Coaxial AIRCELL 7 ?
Is it a good cable? advice, please.

Thank you!!
