Pcimax 2007+ new driver to try

Post by pcs »

This driver looks the same, but the underlying driver code is completely new.
It works on XP and Vista. It supports the new RDS daughter board v20 meaning
RDS carrier can be turned on and off.

Instructions:
1. Download and unzip into a directory of choice, such as C:\pcimax2007
http://www.pcs-electronics.com/software ... 07test.zip

2. Uninstall all previous pcimax drivers and remove any pcimax*.inf files on your system

3. Reboot. Windows should detect new card, if not help it by searching for new hardware.
Point to the directory where you unzipped the files in step 1 above.

Report results here! If all checks out fine we will package this into a nicer installer package.
Best regards,

Ok, we've packed it up into installer now so you don't have to suffer with the
unzipping and stuff.

Get the new driver here:

http://www.pcs-electronics.com/software ... _XP_en.exe

Supports the new micromax RT2 rds daughter board.

API is now available as well so if you want to have support for this card added to your
program just contact us and we will provide info.

Have fun!

Does this driver work for the PCIMAX2005 cards? I still have yet to see my card work more than 10% of the time, and the problem is the driver. (Moving it to new computer works until it crashes.)

Thanks

Its worth giving it a try, yes.

So far this seems to work very well for model 2007,
but 2005 might have other problems that are not
related to driver.

Give it a try, if it fails consider an upgrade.

Regards from Cancun!

Sunshine? Its raining here...

Post by pcs »

Well, Alitalia managed to find our bags so we are happily on our way.

We are in Guatemala now, having passed Belize a couple hours
ago. If only StormyNorm knew I was there he would probably
wait for me and meet me (stormy was writing tons of messages
to this forum some years ago, some will remember).

Bad news is that we are having some rain at the moment, but far
from the storms in Cancun some days ago.

Not sure if I can upload the pictures, connecting image tank to
these cyber cafe PC boxes could mean infection with a virus.

More news later!

I am back home :)

Well, after all this time it seems the driver is working. If at this point
pci max 2007+ still does not work you are probably having hardware
related problems.

All in all, pcimax 2007+ problem reports have dropped off practically
to zero in latest batches, thanks to small changes in design
and new driver.
