warning in manual

Post by sander »

the manual says: "please remember to turn off the transmitter when not in use! ......"

1) Why is this so important? What happens if you leave it on...

2) I'm thinking off buying the pci max ultra but If I buy it, I dont need anything else? Just that package and I'm ready to go?

If you leave the transmitter on it causes wear and tear. As with any electronic device, you shouldn't leave it running when you're not using it in order to preserve the life of it.

Define package. Are you getting JUST the PCI MAX ULTRA? Or are you buying an actual package deal where it includes an antenna, cable, etc. If that's the case (buying the package deal where it includes aformentioned items) you're set to go. If not, you will need an antenna and cable for optimal performance.

Are you saying this will wear out fast?

I'm planning on buying one and using it as a 24/7 broadcaster??

Huh? There are no moving parts. Provided the unit does not overheat, get struck by lightning, or suffer a power surge on the input, this unit will last forever. The reason you turn it off is to avoid unnecesary interference. But if one carefully selects a frequency, that is also a non-issue.

Hope this helps. :)
