RDS/RDBS portable in the US?

Post by photon209 »

Has anyone seen an inexpensive portable that'll receive RDS in the US? Even a european model that can tune to the US FM band would suffice.
(Need a portable, not a car radio)

cheers,

RDS decoder

Post by photon209 »

Thanks for the info.... still kinda steep!
I've started to look for a stand-alone decoder, too.
I may have to wait a few years here in the US for such a radio to be cheap... or build one (PCS?).
My plan was to add RDS to my MP3 broadcast at home - so I could have a display of what was playing. Not necessary I suppose, but fun....
