Where does this unit pickup the temperature measurement that`s displayed on the LCD from?

It used to pickup only exciter temperature, but since this week we added function for
reading both exciter and amplifier temp.

you should consider also adding controls to read power supply temperature, because the power supply gets really hot sometimes

You have to draw the line somewhere, right now it already is
packing rather unbelievable number of functions
