Provided antenna is not recommended at 1W power level. So why is it included?
Because when you use PCI MAX 2007+ without external power supply your output
power isn't 1W but maybe 1/4 of that.
The moment you connect external power supply you should be using a proper
antenna, such as one of these here:
http://www.pcs-electronics.com/antennas-c-38.html
Recommended types are any of these except the magnet base or MLB6600 as these
can have poor swr depending on specific used frequency and method of mounting.
I suggest you look at one of the types which require no tuning at all, such as:
PCS-0210 Single Circular Dipole
PCS-0230 3-element LPFM YAGI antenna
PCS-0205
PCS-0207
Stacked or single dipole antenna
HIGH POWER-YAGI
PCS GP 87-108 (1000W)
HIGH GAIN EXTERMINATOR® (Specify frequency so we can tune it for you)
Other types require adjustment
Your range depends upon terrain configuration, coaxial cable used and length of this
cable, soil conductivity, antenna type used, atmospheric conditions and pure luck.
Several miles can be covered at 1W with good conditions.
