Cybermax installation...

Post by Gentz »

ok finally got it in........ik This is what i did..removed teh old stuff that was connected, the pcimax 15w amp..and just connected my rca jacks and power supply into the cubermax, connected antenna.........started reading the manual says the Fault led should com on then go off...well on my unit it did this...would come on .. i would have transmission then it woul go od annd i would loose transmission....started fiddling around with it.......Remember my swr built in to the pcimax amp didnt show any leds on so this was great.....had clos to 1:1......well i lowered the power to half..... the led stayed on and had transmission..i would go into any setting and the led would go off and loose transmission.....i then lowered my power again...and brought up close to full powere and i have audio...but my led is always on? The fault led? audio sounds great......sounds great but only here at my house stereo ..its outputting 1 watt at the most.....wont even go a block and when the pcimax was running with the 15 watt amp it went about 15km....now not even a block,.........just my luck...............

This is one very long sentence and I don't know what it even means :o

How about breaking it down? Like

1. I had blabla bla and wanted to achieve blabla
2. I did this
3. i did that
4. etc

Normal English helps as well to make things more comprehensible.

Are you trying to say that the fault led is always on?

ok before the pcimax went dead, it was working great with the 15 watt amp.. had about 15 km transmision. next the cybermax 15dsp arrived yesterday.... with the same installation i had with the pcimax all i did was disconnect the power supply connect it to the cubermax, and connected the rcas to it..... i turn it on noth power led and fault go on.......i have transmission at about 1 watt then the fault led goes off, and i loose transmission. I go to the rf power, raise it and the fault led goes on and i have transmission, i raise the power to max and all i get is about 1 watt...all this time the fault led is on. if the fault led goes off i loose transmission.

i went back and installed my 15 watt transmitter for teh pcimax and i get silence due to no pcimax....but i get that silence for the distance as before... I really dont know what the deal here is.... i was hoping this cybermax would work rigth out of the box...no im just not sure.........

It turns out the power supply drops to 9V under load.....

We are noticing that 90% of problems related to cybermax fm 15W units
come from power supply. Maybe we should make it mandatory that everyone
buys our power supply. #-o

yea marko o would really go with that include sell the cybermax with the voltage regulator......Im still searching for a good one here in mexico...as all i can find are 12-13.8 v........if i dont find one will order from you once again......

Seem the cybermax needs the accurate voltage to funcion properly ..due to its sound quality and processing capabilities i would really recommend it selling wiuth the regulator you sell...........will get back with cybermax feedback as soon as i get my voltage regulator to test it with......

Nah, 13.8 will do just fine. Just make sure it really is 13.8V (and not 9V).

12 would work as well if you really really have to use it, but you'll have less output power.
