just finished installing my pcimax and 15w booster....
hello i just finished installing my pcimax 07 15 watt booster and gp87 antenna......i got some fair transmission.....sound isnt too clear have a bit of range but i beleive i have a problem the 15w booster has the swr built in it shows nothing not even 1 led lights up? is there something wrong i bleive as stated in the manual i should have atleast one or two light up....will try diferent cable and see if thats the problem.......any ideas..............
Less squares means better SWR. You should be happy in fact and celebrating,
not complaining
The manual says that 2-3 squares lit does not mean you have a problem, but
if you have less it is even better.

Something's not setup right than.
You're likely over-modulating it.

Don't feed too-laud audio to the pcimax card, pull the volume trimmer down.
Unless you're using audio processing software you shouldn't be sounding
as loud as other stations.
Another thing to consider is that the audio input impedance of the transmitter
is 600 ohms. Some low-level outputs from sound cards have a problem with this
and it manifests as somewhat lacking bass. Try using another output on your sound
card or connect the output to the phone output on your speakers.
Any output capable of driving headphones will easily drive the input and so will most
line outputs.
Its also always beneficial to use external power supply for the PCI MAX ULTRA - PCI MAX 2007+
cards as that guarantees higher output power and cleaner audio.

It should work if you wire everything correctly.
