What advantage do you think PC based gives you?

Well, actually with cybermax fm you'll have a whole less interconnecting to do.
Due to requirement of additional 15W booster you have an additional power supply,
an interconnecting cable etc.
SAM2 are slow with implementing driver for 2007 model, meaning you'll need to
use supplied driver to set the frequency and than use SAM2 just as audio source,
which is fine.
You can run cybermax fm with sam2 in the same way. Just connect
sound card output at your PC to cybermax fm with regular audio cable.

Model A here includes pretty much all you need.
You'll need a regular RCA/phono audio cable and some time to install
antenna on your roof.
Than maybe a mixer, cd player, mic, also maybe some cds and maybe
some software such as SAM.

Yep.
If you have money to spare and intend to stay in this hobby for a while,
invest into a power/SWR meter as well, something like this:
http://www.pcs-electronics.com/transmitter-accesories-power-meters-c-71_61.html
This helps you monitor performance and tune antennas (usually tuning is done
after installation and maybe once in a while to confirm everything is going strong.
