can anybody help me with the calculations for cutting my dipoles down to size for my frequency.And also the measurements for a double stack.cheers

Google ARRL,it's a ham radio association in the states. Their site will tell you all you want to know about building antennas and provide links to sites that will give you more info than you'll ever need.

BTW,if you're familiar w/ the antiquated measuring system we use in the US,here is the basic way to calculate the overall length of a halfwave dipole,divide 468 by the frequency in Mhz. That will give you the distance in feet. Cut it in the middle,attach feedline and hang it up high. Check it w/ a swr meter to get it under a 2:1 ratio(as close 1:1 as possible,but under 2:1 will suffice) and you're set. Treat it with care,your antenna IS your station.

Dipoles are effective.easy to build and cheap. Not a bad combination.
