Help!

Post by whiplash »

 I arrived home the this afternoon, flicked on my Cyber Max FM 15W, then these things happened:

1. The two lights (power, swr) flicked on for a split second then became dimly lit
2. The power supply light almost completely went out, showing an unbelievable amount of current draw.
3. The setup just stayed like this!

I tested a different power supply, no luck
I inspected the MAX PRO 3+ on top and underneath, no problems to the best of my knowledge
I removed lcd module, still no luck.
Fuse is not blown

Your help is much appreciated
Thanks

OK, can you remove the heatsink for me and check if there is any damage to the output transistor?

Marko

Sorry Marko, bear with me I'm on dial-up

There doesn't appear to be any damage, all the soldering appears to be in order I have uploaded an image of it in case you can see anything wrong with it

Thanks
