Anyone has a PCB for this circuit: http://www.pcs-electronics.com/schematics/Tda7000Rx.jpg ?
re-tda7000
The tda7000 can be modified very easy to pick up any FM stations from 1.5 mhz to 200 mhz. It will tune in on wide band or narrow band. Experiment with both coils and change the value of a few capicitors. The philips data sheet will show you what to change.I found this ic very easy to modify and to make a receiver from.I have done alot of experiments with this ic,and I recommend it mainly for listening to the amatuer radio band (vioce) not music as it operates in mono not stereo.Dont forget to buy capacitors with a tolerance of 5%.This will greatly improve stability. No drifting off stations.I also recommend that you buy a kit for $40 aussie dollars and modify components.
TDA7000 is s great little chip. But it has its limitations.
It was designed to be simple, but several compromises were
made.
While it is perfect for KIT builders and beginners, I would not
consider building a receiver out of it, if I wanted it to be a really
high quality receiver. It, for one, doesn't support stereo.
Still, great as a beginner project.

Re: TDA7000
Try reducing the inductance of coil.TEK wrote:Just been looking at the TDA 7000 RX. Anyone know the component values to change this to receive in the region of 50 - 60 mhz ? still in wideband mode.Any help would be good!!
- It should work.
BTW: TDA7000 is a great chip, but there are newer ones, I you TDA7000 as signal receiver from transmitter.
You propably mean increase inductance?
Yes, try adding a few turns, that should do it.
