We've send several to Australia and New Zealand. No problems reported.

I actully doubt customs will know what it is, and in a techincal sense you could just call it a hi fi system. Never had any problems with customs here in Ireland, if it not illegal to posse equipment, just to use it.

Don't tell customs about it... just say it is an assembled printed circuit board for a personal project.

Or you can always say it is an fm radio kit. technically all are true... radios are brought in all the time.

Over in the States they're inconsistent. My transmitters have come without a problem via FedEx. However strangely the RDS daughter board had to be picked up from the post office as it wouldn't be delivered directly to our house. Customs never seem to cause a problem.

usually there is no problem. for some countries doesnt make a diference if the package is marked radio receiver or transmitter. some of them just populize it and their customs have just radio for such equipment.
