Meterorological Station for Pc

This is the place where you can ask questions
related to schematics posted on our website
and request new schematics. We will try to post whatever is possible.

Meterorological Station for Pc

Post by BillyJoe »

Hi,

I want to build a meteorological station for my Pc to measure and register the meteorological conditions of my town (inicially temperature and humidity, and posterior some things like wind force and direction or another parameter that could be easily to measure).
I'd like to thank any help you can give me, in schematics, manual, ideas, components, software ideas, etc...
You can contact me on this forum or on my personal e-mail adress (biel_cabot@hotmail.com)

Thanks a lot.

Billy,

to construct something like that requires various
areas of knowledge, including programming a
PC and microcontrollers and constructing various
microcontroller-based systems.

A person which posesses the above mentioned knowledge
on the other hand does not require a schematic or a plan,
merely parts of the entire system (such as humidity sensor
assembly or wind speed meter).

You've set yourself a complex goal. I suggest starting with
simple microcontrollers first, build from there. It will definitely
take months/years to get there.

Anonther route would be to look for already made PC-connectable
sensors and develop some kind of software to keep logs of data.

Google is your friend here!
