PROFESSIONAL 3000W COMPLETE FM TRANSMITTER? What next?

Ok i'm in a real fix, i have funding for the PROFESSIONAL 3000W COMPLETE FM TRANSMITTER and we're making a city wide raido station, ok so what next? i basicaly need a 200-300 Km broadcast what kinda Antenna should i use with it? and what else do i need? we're pretty much fully funded so its like money is no prob, we just need the best clearest sounding broad cast.

As for antennas, most standard broadcast stations use a multi bay Circular polarized setup. I will warn you, they are very expensive.

Do a google search on bkg77-hp and you will find one such antenna. There are many other models out there as well. Be sure to get an antennas that is rated for atleast 3000 watts.

You will want to use at least two bays. One bay will cut your power in half. Two bays will give you zero gain, and four six or eight bays will give you pretty much anything you need..

BTW, The reason you will want a CP antennas is that it will perform better in hilly areas without dead spots. Same for the fringe area.

And 200-300Km is not really reasonable. That kind of coverage
requires multiple transmitter sites. Optical visibility is the limiting
factor here (curvature of earth).

While we're talking multi-bay antennas, I've just added folded
dipoles to the antennas section. Along with 2-way and 4-way
harnesses. They're not circular, but are a lot cheaper.
