Getting a rumble
I have an older PC Max II card. It seems to work pretty well, but I am getting a rumble at times. I've already lowered the bass on the EQ way down. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
At what part of the spectrum? Usually expanding or compressing
the vco coil helps.
the vco coil helps.

Getting a rumble
I appreciate the advice, but how do expand or compress
the vco coil?
the vco coil?
With your fingers or a screwdriwer. It is the one with 5 turns.
Its been a while since we sold PC MAX II, must be 4 years
or more. Did you get yours second hand?

Getting a rumble
I bought the card from you guys about 4 years ago. Never could get it to sound real good due to noise from the computer I had it installed in.
Put it in a box for quite a while and dug it out recently....to give it a 2nd try on a different machine. I've found I have to have the sound level set really, really low so it doesn't distort. If I can get rid of the rumble, it would be great. Will try your advice. Thanks.
