I want more storage!

So while this shows the latest in available hard drives for notebooks, I wonder when the first terrabyte hard drive (eg, IDE/SATA in the same size as now) will be released. Lacie has an external "Bigger Disk" being released that's 1TB for $1200. Any thoughts of when we'll hit the limit with current had drive styles? I hear a new way of storing data is in the works, something involving holographics. =P~

Not sure if this is the same technology as in the article you linked to but this is a hilarious animation explaining Hitachi's new high-density HDD tech:
