Speak, Parle, Hable, Sprechen, what languages do you speak?

Post by Sir Nigel »

Something I like to ask other people. Of course living in the US most only speak English (yes with a Texas accent, yuck) so I don't know many who speak much else. Me, I speak a fairly decent amount of Spanish, a little French and I'm about to start a class next Sunday for Russian.

So how do most of you all learn your languages? I usually buy courses (like Assimil and FSI) and try to find some audio sources (like news) in the target languages. Of course where I live, there's Spanish and some Russians in the area; otherwise not much for personal interaction.
