If you are real good with a soldering iron, you can fix the antenna. The Comect CFM-95SL has a ceramic capacitor (very small - I don't remember the value off the top of my head - its value is stamped on the capacitor) thats located inside the base (center vertical element) of the antenna.
You will have to very carefully disassemble the base (inner portion) of the bottom of the antenna. There will be a slot or hole where you can use a hex bolt to loosen the base and the inner most section (the section where the PL-259 socket is) will come loose. DO NOT OVER TWIST THE BASE SECTION WHEN REMOVEING THE INNER PORTION! It should slide out and away with less than a quarter turn - no more then that in any other direction or you may damage the base loading coil. You will then see where the capacitor is installed, or possibly in your case, a broken lead or possibly burned-up or damaged capacitor. It should connect between the very bottem base of the inner section and base loaded coil tap. You'll see the solder tap on the coil and where it connects on the plastic dielectric. Good Luck!

Thanks
My problem dont know how it happend but the upper and lower element suppose to slide with ease, but mine isnt and it's hard to adjust it to properly tune the garbage...Everything else is working fine except it isnt tuned right....a15u if you dont mind need to talk to you since we're in the same area....
It may be better that its not sliding easily, at least
it won't change every time the wind blows or a bird sits on it.
I strongly suggest a SWR meter, will make it much easier.
