SE3 stereo encoder |
|
Stereo encoder for your FM TRANSMITTER
DIGITAL/ANALOG STEREO ENCODER
This unit uses DSP techniques to generate pilot and multiplexing control voltages. Pilot is generated using a 5 bit D/A converter. It has many advantages over SE-2; low pass audio filter, improved pilot generation due to DSP, stereo/mono switch, increased channel separation, simplified (no) tuning, less noise and all this in a board that is smaller and easier to assemble. Cost-efficient and simple. Includes on board control for optional maximizing of channel separation. Designed specifically as a companion for all MAX PRO series exciters, but its also compatible with any exciter that has an MPX input. All the connectors and switches are mounted on the board so connecting this unit requires no additional soldering apart for connecting the power supply line. This is a perfect KIT project even for beginners, easy to assemble and setup.
Have a quick look at the manual here:

You have a PCB and parts list, its easy to work out the
schematic, if you wanted to do so.
SE3+ is actually cheap/affordable. A lot of effort went into
design, manual, testing and assembly. I think you're getting
a very fair deal here.

What you want to do is not technically possible.

modify input impedance to 10k ? |
|
Hi
Can the input impedance of the SE3+ be modified to make it 10k, so that it can be used with linelevel?
Thanks

It can be used with line level directly.
In case of any problems remove the 680ohm resistor in
the input stage and you will instantly increase input impedance.
But I think that will not be necessary.

I purchased a SE3 kit two years ago.
Does a SE3 kit generate a signal with pre-emphasis at 50uS ?
Or does it generate a signal without pre-emphasis ?
