15w booster power supply

Post by Sir Nigel »

Okay, I just placed an order for the new PCI max '04 and the 15 booster (yay!). I wanted to know if the power supply for the 15w booster that I provide, needs to be anything special. How does this connect to it? Does PCS make a power supply for this unit?

Just check your local radio shack or any ham store.

Make sure it is at least 5A, DC stabilised power supply.
Voltage needs to be at least 13.8V. If it is variable up
to 15-16V, you will be able to squeeze more power
(towards 20W).
Best regards,

How does the power supply connect to the booster? Soldering? Or just a connector? If so, what type? I wish there were photos showing this.

There are two wires coming out of the booster, the positive and negative terminal
