hi all. I'm new to fourm. I have the Max Pro II. In the instructions off the CD ROM it says something about finding the "pwr" test point on the small board and to use ground with a V-meter to adjust power out. I see the word "PWR" on the small board but have no idea what point it is reffering to.
Also...where do I measure the tuning of C24 & C25. where are the test points for that?
I'm getting a clean sound but I am not getting much distance, i.e. 2 blocks at most. The antenna is most likely the problem there as I am using RG59 cable running to a modified antenna made from a Police scanner. It is a 50ohm device.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks...JMF
max II...finding power output?

Use a voltmeter and measure voltage at that point. There's a pad
at that point. Place plus of your voltmeter to that point. Place minus
to the ground of your power supply (minus). Now tune the two caps
to get maximum voltage reading.

There is a point, an empty "hole" right next to it.

Thanks for the reply. However, there is no hole anywhere near the "PWR" marking. There is a soder point 1 or 2 millimeters just to the right of the "PWR" marking(but it appears to be a soder joint with no way to attach a lead or clip etc.) Sorry to bother you about this but it is a bit frustrating.
Also...if I were to change the antenna (longer cale run, longer antenna, greater hight, etc) would I need to readjust the caps?
Thanks for your valuable time

Yep, that is it. A bit inconvenient, which is why MAX PRO II
is for an experienced users. This is the first time someone
asked about this point, actually.
