It is a fairly solid antenna.
Performance is good especially in built up areas the signal does hold up quite well. Their is a thread on this site which explains in some depth about the supposed "gain" it has - suffice to say it isnt quite as much as it initially seems...
However it is an easy tune, easy to mount, discreet and a carries a nice and decent signal.
Thats just my experience with it - i'd be interested to hear any other users experiences

marko: 12-15 degrees where ?
is this 12-15 degrees towards the ground, from the base of the antenna
these are some of the question i will like to have answered so i can make a good choice.
i dosent make sence to purchase an antenna and all the power is waisted into the open sky, where ther are no radios .

Here is a link that is very..very well written and loaded with graphics to assist in visualization of the various pattern modes for Antennas
One of my fav. sites that i consider to be "WICKID" in content and accuracy, and simplicity.
For the compulsive nitpickers..the info presented by Scott is theory that can be applied to the majority of Antennas that would be applicable to this theatre of operations..Just thought i might add that bit of info
============================
I snippet it:
Klik on Links Below
http://www.signalengineering.com/ultimate/
http://www.signalengineering.com/ultimate/angle_of_radiation.html
Angle of Radiation
-----------------------
(((Most of us think that our antenna's "shoot" the signal straight off the end (if its a beam), at right angles from the antenna. I have even seen some operators (mainly ones who live in valleys) bend their mast so that their antenna does not sit with the boom parallel to the ground (don't do it, read on). They hope to shoot the signal up out of the valley. Well, this is not how things work. The angle that the signal comes off the antenna, is mainly controlled by how high the antenna is from the ground. This angle that the signal takes off the antenna is sometimes called the "Angle of Radiation" or "Take-Off Angle". You can see what I mean by take off angle by looking at figure 1. Most of you probably thought the signal came off at a 0 (Zero) degree angle, right? You would have to have your antenna over 500 feet in the air for this to happen! )))

WELL I AM HAPPY FOR THEM |
|
BUT I STILL CHERISH THE THE THOUGHT THAT SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT I AM A NUT...OR WHATEVER...IT KEEPS THEM ON GUARD AND IT REINFORCES MY PLEDGE..THAT I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO KEEP ALL IN SUSPENDED ANIMATION..WHENEVR I SO SEEM FIT TO DO SO..I HAVE EARNED THAT RIGHT!!
And also if anyone here present has any Disgruntled sentiments re my overall attitude..then please feel free to address me directly..and i would be more than happy to afford whomever the benefit of my sense of purpose.
If folks wanna be judgemental against me then consider these following scenarios:
Which President of the United States that GRADUATED FROM THE Class of 1968 YALE..THAT WOULD BRAND HIS FELLOW SCHOOL MATES WITH A CATTLE BRANDING IRON..TEXAS COWBOY STYLE AND FASHION..AND MOST FOLKS THOUGHT THAT WAS A COOL THING TO DO?
And also Which President of the USA(cant recall his name right now..the Present one..got a memory block RIGHT NOW..SORRY) THAT CONFRONTED A BUNCH OF MEDIA JOURNALISTS AND ONE PISSED HIM OFF TO THE POINT WHERE HE TOLD THAT PARTICULAR REPORTER.."YOUR ARE THROUGH DEALING?"
NOW HOW DOES ONE JUSTIFY THOSE WORDS FROM A HIGH RANKING OFFICIAL OF THE USA GUV.MENT?
But yet voice my dissatisfaction and views re the Ungratefull attitude of others here present..and i an accused of being a nut...or a wacko?
Well lets say that it takes another wacked individual to recognize another wacked individual!!! think about it folks.
I AM A NATURAL BORN FREAK!!..FUCK YOU ALL
