Hi mate

Post by greekflavour »

hello

i would advise you to get the:

PCI MAX ULTRA + 5 watt booster + Comet 5/8 aerial + RG213 coax

This combination of equipment should give you good quality transmition
as long as your aerial is high and not bellow average house hight.
this would allow you to play music from your computer but if you want
you could also conect a mixer with other equipment. it would cost you
around 500 Euro.

Unless you dont want to use a computer you could get a

Max Pro LCD + Comet 5/8 + RG213 that would work stand alone mode.

all this stuff you could find in PCS electronics.com website

Thank you very much for your immediate reply.

One more doubt I have. Please help me.

Regarding Antena,
i)Where, all the people who run FM Radio, mount their Antena?
ii)Is there any place in each city.
Moreover,
iii)My house is very short. SO, its not possible to mount the Antena in my house. Is there any RENTAL PLACE(high building) to mount the antena in Frankfurt.

Please advice me.

Hello to frankfurt from a Greek in London !!!

first of all think what is the station is going to be like???
Are you going to have others playing music on a standart time table with a program and operational hours or
are you going to be playing music whenever you feel like it??
Are you going to need a studio or is your bedroom enough??
Are the authorities strick in your country or mild and are you willing to take the risk??

If your house is very short i would suggest you to rent a cheap room in a very tall building and set up your studio - station in there
or
make a must - poll very high so it excceds the height of the average houses and then you should be ok
or
you could use a link to send your signal to your aerial to any remote destination.

i have my aerial on my house roof that is a 3story building plus extra polls to give it the most height

if you need more help just ask me
im not a professional but i try so dont worry

Thank you very much Mr.Sweat

I have some more doubts. Please clarify. Because, I am eager to start this radio, but have no experience in this field.

I have a plan to play music on a standart time table with a program and operational hours.

Broadcast license, Transmitter, receiver -- all are I can do.

But Regarding antena -- I am confused. Even I don't understand, how its work.

Moreover, as you said in your mail,

'"you could use a link to send your signal to your aerial to any remote destination. '"

In these statement,

1)Remote destination means 'those who hear my radio or ...?

2)And Signal ? means 'signals brodcast from my antena-- Right ?
3) Areial means Antena or ...?

Please help me.

i would suggest the comet 5/8 as the best antenna/aerial it isthe same thing.
The comet han handle up to 200watt power input and is very easy to tune
to any frequency you like and you can change it in the future too.
By signal i mean the signal you are broadcasting and by any remote
destination i mean the the place you will place your antenna.
You can use a multy link to send your signal to your aerial from your studio in a straight line of sight that would from there broadcast your
signal to the public.
i will get back to you on more details and recomendations about
this multy link and details how it works and how much it will cost you
or you can visit www.pcs-electronics.com.

check out the EzLink 400 (UHF 430-440MHz) on the website

According to my reply earlier if you have a look at the item i said
you would have a better understanding of how it works.

Yes it is very possible and very common for people to have their
antenna/aerial at an other location of were their studio is and that
is to protect them from getting cought and also to find a good
possition for the aerial to get the maximum range and strenth.

you have to be familiar though with the place that you will put the aerial
and secure because the last thing you want is somebody stealing it and
you not knowing about it.

a link system can be quite expensive according to your budget and
painfull for the pocket if it was to be stolen so i would advise you to
find an affortable cheap one that even if it was to be stolen you could
replace it at low cost.

Here in England they often steel the lot/everthing including the aerial
and it is usualy dj's from other pirate stations so be carefull you dont
piss anybody off.
