What would my wattage be if i plugged a 100mw transmitter into a "slim jim" antenna? If it would be 100mw is there a 100w transmitter i can build or should i build a 2w and amplify it. Or what wattage do i need to get a 5 mile radius

100 mW answer to your first question.

Get your antenna 40 to 50 feet high, use 2 to 5 watts, use 9913 coax, and you will have the car radio range you desire.

Hope this helps. :)
