Digital TV exciters for NTSC-8VSB

Post by electson »

#-o Hello, to all people on this excelent forum ! I need your ideas or help, I'm navigating on the PCS-Electronics new catalog, and I find the new Digital TV exciter ( mpeg2)
My question is: ¿ May I use this exciter to handle the, Standard ATSC / NTSC, (8VSB Constellation ) Digital terrestrial TV system ?
I understand that the QUAM systen must be used ONLY for Digital Cable system?, I'm right ?
Some providers from Canada, USA, and China, are offering the right systems ATSC - (8VSB Constellation ), for TV terrestrial Digital TV, but there are to much expensive !

Any idea or help will be very appreciated ! Thank You !

Hi there,

sorry about somewhat slow response, I suggest you look at this page here in the coming days.
An upcoming update will list several versions of digital modulators.

Digital TV modulators are not cheap, but things are getting better each year step by step.
Best regards,
Marko - PCS Electronics

Hello, #-o several times I see your Digital Model, the one on the link you sent me, but it's for QUAM Constellation ( for Cable system ), for terrestrial air TV Digital transmission I understand must be 8VSB Constellation.
Please tell me I'm right ?

Thank You very much Marko, I'll waiting for your valuable info, Some Chinese Providers are selling some more decent ATSC 8VSB modules, for Digital Terrestrial TV, with better prices. #-o
