CYBERMAXFM+ SE transmitter

Post by maxx »

Hello,
i have received my CYBERMAXFM+ SE transmitter and i have 2 questions:
1) mono mode is not available from LCD control modul
I notice that jumpers J10 and J14 were installed, i think that they shouldn't be installed for a configuration like my boxed CYBERMAXFM+ SE transmitter.
2) only the first lower led of the bargraphs for right or left input audio sensibility is flashing
With the good output level from my audio source, the audio level is good in fm reception, so why only the first led of audio bargraph (right or left) is flashing instead of almost all leds ?
Is there an ajustement to increase the number of leds flashing according to the right input level ?
Thanks for your help.

1. Can't you set stereo or mono via LCD module?
It isn't available or it does not switch to mono?

2. It is possible your audio source is a little bit too quiet.

(1) Mono is available on LCD but it does not switch to mono, transmitter stays on Stereo
Jumpers j10 and j14 are installed, is it normal ?
(2) if i increase input level, saturation comes quickly but only with no more than 1 or 2 led flashing on bargraph.
Is there a possibility to increase the number of leds flashing ?

J14 should indeed be removed.

J10 is not really important in this mode of operation,
you can leave it as it is.

The VU meter has trimmers for sensitivity, two for audio and two for power and swr.
If you wish you can check if they are set to full.

If they are already set to full you may need to close modulation trimmer on exciter
board a little, that will let you drive audio at a higher level.

Let me know how it goes. It seems Peter missed a couple check points with this unit
for which I apologize (J14).

Hello

1) Ok for J14, i have removed it, and with this i can now switch to mono mode from LCD

2) I have set to full the 2 audio trimmers (Right and Left), in mono mode to be sure having the same deviation for Right and Left bargraphs.
And with this, there are many more leds flashing, not all, but it's sufficient to better control the audio level.

Thanks for yours advices.

Hi there Maxx,

looks like you've sorted it out.

I do apologize, it seems we failed to remove jumper
and set VU meter trimmers for you, this is our mistake and I apologize.
Luckily these are small problems and it is easy to sort them out.
Best regards,
