25W FM Booster Overheating

Post by glparker4 »

Hi,

I recently purchased the PCIMAX 3000 card and 25W Booster. I am very pleased with the performance so far. However, I have noticed that the Booster becomes very hot to the human touch. The fan is working properly and dissipating heat from the device. I also have the device in a relatively temperate environment (15 degrees C). Is there any risk of the device overheating or becoming a fire hazard? Are there any built-in safety features that would shut down the device at a certain temperature?

Thanks in advance for your awesome product and support!

They can get warm, yes. If you are concerned, you can
set the power a bit under the max, say to 2/3.
