IS a regulated supply necessary? I have a stereo with power supply of 29 volts of at least 4 amps. I can completely disconnect this from the receiver. Thanks

The info for the AM Max sggests that you need 26 volts for full power in AM mode. I hope that stabilized 26 volts does not mean regulated since those supplies are not easy to find. BTW, the pictures ...
