8-element log-periodic antenna for high ERP DAB+ transmitters

Precise manufacturing, high gain, easy stacking,  attractive price and no-tune operation make this directional high-gain log-periodic antenna (radiates most of the signal in one direction) a good match for DAB+ to 1500W max transmitters. It is recommended if you want to cover a specific direction, with 1500W max power and high gain a really impressive ERP can be obtained (15ooW transmitter gives ERP of 7500W).

With very high gain it also greatly enhances signal reception, if used in a receiver so it is an excellent choice for measuring receivers. Several antennas can be combined to create very directional very high-gain antenna setup either for reception or transmission.

Antennas can be easily stacked one into the other. Of course you still need the combiner.

How much ERP will my transmitter have with one LOG8DAB antenna in ideal situation?
100W transmitter: Your ERP will be increased 7dBd (5x), 100W transmitter will have ~500W ERP, this usually more than doubles your effective range.
Max allowed transmitter output power in this configuration is 1500W so the ERP with 1500W transmitter would be 7500W.
ERP is the power equivalent required to produce identical signal with a dipole antenna (which has a gain of 0dBd).

How much ERP will my transmitter have with two LOG8DAB antennas in 2-bay configuration?
100W transmitter: Your ERP will be increased 10dBd (5×2=10x), 100W transmitter will have ~1000W ERP, this usually almost quadruples your effective range.
Max allowed transmitter output power in this configuration is up to 3000W, if you use combiner with 7/8 output and appropriate cable.
ERP is the power equivalent required to produce identical signal with a dipole antenna (which has a gain of 0dBd).

How much ERP will my transmitter have with two LOG8DAB antennas in 4-bay configuration?
100W transmitter: Your ERP will be increased  ~12dBd (5x2x2=20x), 100W transmitter will have ~2000W ERP, this more than quadruples your effective range.
Max allowed transmitter output power in this configuration is up to 6000W, if you use combiner with suitable connector and appropriate cable.
