Is This Sound OK?

Post by dude23 »

hey all, I got the honors to setup the tech end of a new community radio station in our area, We are in a small community with limited money for the project, I tried the best I can to find the best mixed free/inexpensive software and hardware proccessors to get that Optimod sound without one, And I dont meen running sound solution lol, sound very bad to me anyways that one, So with all the messing around I came up with this combo that im using now that seems to be working well, But I played so much I don;t know if it sounds or or is just me that thinks its good hehe, Anyways its streaming as AAC here
http://cjfl.zapto.org:8000/listen.pls
Its the station running now.
Would like to know if its sounding close to the Optimod 8100a driven with a pre AGC such as the Gentner Texar Prism.
what are your opinions? am I on the right track? Should I tweak more or leave as is?
thanks :P

Not bad. Noticed some distortion in one of the 60s music pieces in a jingle, don't know the title though.
Best regards,
