Control RDS for playlist

Hi,

I've bought a PCIMAX2006 and have a couple of questions which someone has an answer to.

I am able to playback a complete playlist using the board but I want also the track and songname
to be visible using the RDS module. I am able to have a fixed text to be broadcasted. Are there tools
to transmit the songname and artist when playing a playlist via RDS.

Thanks in advance,
Roland

Not yet, but we are considering it.

This functionality already works for RDS MAX 30 and also
when you use PCI MAX in stand alone mode via RS232 port.

Has there been any progress on this? I would really like to display the track name.

The rds max 4000 supports this. PCi MAX not yet, but thanks for reminding me. I'll add it
to my todo list, forgot about it all together.

Do you think it can be done by mid November? I use the FM transmitter to broadcast my music that is synchronized with my Christmas lights.

It would be really cool if I could display the song title along with broadcasting the music for the "show". It would be ultra convenient for me if the song title could be changed via a text file in a default location on the hard drive or received via a RS232 comport. I could revise the text file via the light display software and your software could be reading the file every few seconds.

Yep, very likely. You may want to drop me an email from time to time, it helps.

I purchased my PCI Max 2007 and RDS daughter board yesterday. When I receive it, I'll start reminiding you.

Thanks for the quick response.

I got the PCIMAX 2007 card w/RDS.

I have it working now. Thanks.

Can I connect the daughter board to a RS-232 com port and use the MICRO MAX RM-1 software to update the daughter board?

I have loaded the MICRO MAX RM-1 software and I can use my lighting software to update the .txt files. I am under the assumption that the software automatically sends the data to the board without having to push the SEND DATA button, correct?.

Is this possible?

Yes, of course it is possible. Just connect com port to rds daughter board, there are two pins, they go to 3 and 5 on com port I think.
