Best protection when using PCIMAX from 1000mW or >

I found out that some of my customers gets the final transistor toasted on the PCIMAX, Reasons:
1. installing the card with-out attaching an antenna, most of them think, that theire is no power on the card when switching on the PC, wrong.. each pci slot delivers between the 3 and 5 volts even when the pci card is not operating
2. from starting 1000mW each transistor gets very hot, I advice to install a separate cooler into your PC and let it blow over the PCI card.
3. The standard attached small antenna is nice but not advicable to use with cards starting from 1000mW, get a good antenna before transmitting.
