I have this problem with the Limbo Compressor/Limier. Whenever there is a segment of silence or music volume fading down (due to end of track) an annoying distorted sound starts to become audible first very low and then slowly fades in to full volume. (During long silent or low volume segments).
Is there any way i can eliminate this problem? Else the compressor would be very good as it manages to keep volume levels constant quite nicely.
Finally, is there any manual for the Limbo?
Thanks,
Andre`

In quiet passages (with no signal present) these increase gain to maximum.
When that happens it could pick up some noise from your system.
Its hard to say where it comes from, but it could be:
1. Power supply - a likely candidate, try operating this unit from a battery just for a test.
2. Ground loops or audio source - what happens if you disconnect audio source or connect
audio source working from batteries (no ground loop possible) ?
3. The new bulb-like fluorescent lamps are really spewing out lots of noise.
Give it a try.
