max pro 2015

hi -

im running a new maxpro 2015 and its in a metal enclosure but getting pretty warm - im just wondering if you can tell me where the fan connects - it says in the manual it has pads for this - i cannot see them on the board..

Hi,

that part of the manual was copy-pasted from max pro 3000 which has dedicated pads.

The 2015 does not, but it is not really a problem, all you need to do is connect the fan to +15V (power supply).

A small 40x40 12V fan will do, make it blow across the final.

Larger fan is ok as well. A larger fan does not need to blow that strong so it can be connected to on-board 7809 making it silent.

Otherwise everything ok?

yes all good - thanks - i have it running on 13v and had the fan connected to that - but it was a bit loud and powerfull.. so i will try of the 7809 as you say.. apart from that all good - at 15 v it puts out 19w.. at 13v im hitting 15w..
