I am very interested in this AM transmitter :) I always wanted to get a II but wished it would do AM broadcast MW and the 6-7 MHZ band at once. Sounds like that is the way the III is going to be.

There are certain problems with DDS that I won't go into as it would reveal our design secrets.
I can only say at this point that our phase noise figure pretty much obliterates other toys out there.

I know, I know.

However we have a big project for a non-radio related product so that
is kind of more important. AM MAX is more of a hobby product than a real
money-earner for us, please keep that in mind.

The good thing though is that we now have a very nice shortwave receiver
with pretty good specs so the transmitter will eventually come as a full AM
station, receiver will be multimode, transmitter will not do ssb (but will do
everything else).

There'll probably be a connector for receiver on the AM MAX board.
Best regards,

When can I order AM Max III

Post by Ken »

When will AM Max III be ready for order.

I need a good AM transmitter for a DRM experimenal broadcast. So I like to order AM Max III and test with a DRM modulator SPARK www.drm-sender.de

DRM

Post by Ken »

Marko, If not AM MAX 3 support DRM modulation I think you sould, I belive (if you read all fourums on the net) that DRM will be the next big thing.

I think you can take the output from soundcard (from DRM modulator) and feed it directly to AM MAx, but in some forul I read that I have to us a upconverter to 455KHz ??

Here is a post about that: http://www.drmrx.org/forum/archive/inde ... -1568.html

Thanks!

Well, I can say this:

Not as soon as you hope,
but not as late as you fear.

:)

We did incredible amount of work in 2008.
Not sure if you noticed.

We're just starting to ship UHF TV transmitter,
something lots of people have been asking about.

Soon we're moving over to AM.
