Can someone suggest a cross needle SWR meter with a power range sutable for the AM MAX2 that could be available in the uniter states?

Any scale distortion on the low end of the MW band on the referenced Daiwa CN101L?

I doubt you will be using it below 1MHz, it requires extremely big antennas.

What frequency do you plan to use it at?

You are correct in that the unit will be installed in the high end of the band for now. I may at a later date try to build the lower end isotron copy posted by MOSFET to this list on Feb 2, 06. The thought was to try to purchase one cost effective SWR meter to cover all of the MW band.
Thanks for the quick response. Will fly with the recomended Daiwa CN101L for now.

The problem you will encounter with this SWR meter in lower MW band is that the displayed
power will be less than actual power. I expect SWR meter readings to be fairly usable
as you're looking at a ratio, not absolute values.

We will be carrying antenna tuners, soon, and some have SWR meters built in.
