there is a free program for winamp that has a compressor, limiter, and expander all built in with presettings. Sounds just as punchy and loud as commercial stations. Even has preemphasis.

Another thing I must warn you, use a fan! it does get very HOT, and its easy as that to use. I took one apart, and popped the top off, all it is, is a hybrid IC. it has a matching coil on both the output and input, and pushpull with 2 drivers and 2 ouptut transistors. its tuned for 50 ohms, so to ge...

Hey, I got one of those modules, and believe it or not, im guessing the stray capacitance and inductance from the wires I used, I had that little guy peggin g the meedle on my 20watt wat meter!!!! so, it will deliver 15 to 20watts easy. But, the SWR is tolerative up to a certain point. my module ran...

need help with stereo encoding

I dont have a schematic, since I built it myself using different concepts from other schematics, but Ill describe it the best I can. The problem: NO stereo seperation. none. nill. If you listen very hard, there is very very very little seperation. but mainly the channels are mixed together. It was w...

problem with AM transmitter

I have a transmitter that is about 2.5 watts, and the range completely sucks, and its only about 300 feet before its burried in static. I took the WPRDJ schematic thats floating around, because I had a similar toy with the same exact transmitter, and hooked an IRF510 transistor in place of the final...

i think ill start a new thread, because im running off topic

i started it into a new topic, since it isnt dealing with directional antennas anymore, so you can kindly delete this thread.

ill make a schematic, and show you what I have done, to build my transmitter.

its very very clean sound. if i get too close to the coax, or antenna, the dio overloads, and distorts.

I took the WPRDJ schematic thats floating around, because I had a similar toy with the same exact transmitter, and hooked an IRF510 transistor in place of the final, and i used a modulation transformer instead of the lm386 design. the irf510 is running off of 19 volts, and the CMOS ocillator is usin...

Need directional antenna design for AM

I have an IRF510 1watt, it might be 2watt 1610khz AM transmitter.

the range completely sucks, so I want to make a directional antenna for it.

is this possible? if so, how?

(current range with omnidirectional antenna is about 300 feet before it burries in static with 2W)
